Young Innovator Awards 2010 8 June 2011
Hi, All Young Innovator Supporters

Judging has begun

The judges are enjoying the experience of going through all of the submissions.
This year there 75 entries compared to 56 entries in 2010 and there has been a 30% increase in the number of students who registered online and then actually followed through to submit an entry for judging. YiA!!

We are so proud

Our 2010 YiA judge for research and communication, Blythe Rhys-Jones from Locus Research, is currently in New York as a finalist for the MDEA (Medical Design Excellence) Awards.   We wish Blythe all the very best.

Check out our  facebook  page to see a photo of Blythe wearing his YiA T shirt on top of the Empire State building in New York.

Congratulations and well done

To all those students who have put in the effort and time to submit an entry.  You are all champions.  Thanks also to our YiA teachers in nine Western Bay of Plenty secondary schools.  We received at least one entry from all nine schools.  YiA!!

The finalists will be notified by the end of next week  and will receive an invitation to attend the Awards evening as part of this year’s Western Bay @ Work Launch on Monday 20th June @ 5.30pm.
