•    How much time, cost or resources have you got to apply to your research (this is often referred to as research scope)
•    Research will give you answers not opportunities. A synthesis process is required to pull out all the key insights from research and define the opportunities.

To make research more effective, try:

•    Start with a strong goal for the research
•    Break research up into a series of activities or objectives and define the deliverables at the beginning.
•    Generate a process for how you intend to go about your research and stick to it
•    Have your research reviewed by others
•    Be creative with your research. Most innovations happen when you least expect it and when you were looking for something else.

•    Statistics Agencies - these organizations collect statistical information in different countries
