Internship insight, Phoebe Watson

Internship insight, Phoebe Watson

Phoebe of Aquinas College entered yia! in 2019 Phoebe won second place intermediate with her innovation Clean Cuts. This landed Phoebe with an internship with Zespri, “I was naturally very excited because it was an opportunity to share my innovation with successful innovators and receive constructive criticism.” During her internship with Zespri she learnt how to plan ahead and consider the different stages of launching her product, she is contemplating the inauguration of her innovation.

Phoebe “found the internship a really interesting opportunity to consider different career options or even continue my innovation as a side business.” And that “Innovation is one of the key components of business because you must modify and change the elements of your business to catch up with the expectations of the constantly adapting world.”

Phoebe thinks “that entering yia! is a fantastic opportunity, even if you do not become a finalist there is always room for growth and development.”
