YiA 2018 Innovation Forum: Screens, Machines and Virtual Reality Dreams

YiA 2018 Innovation Forum: Screens, Machines and Virtual Reality Dreams

In this year’s future-focused YiA Innovation Forum, hear about how Google is revolutionising global education, the latest in gaming and how robotics are changing farming.

Hosted by Priority One, the Innovation Forum will take place at Classic Flyers on 30th August between 7.00am and 9.30am.

Over breakfast, you’ll be transported into the world of three fast-paced and innovative industries that are changing the way we eat, play and learn. Our three speakers, all leading figures in their fields, will share their experiences in paving the way for the future.

This year's speakers include: Google Genius, Suan Yeo; Gaming Guru, Maru Nihoniho; and Robotics Revolutionary, Alistair Scarfe.

Suan Yeo

Suan sums up his job humbly and simply: “Do really cool things that matter”. Hear from Suan how Googlers innovate and grow, and how he hopes to change the world, one educator at a time.

Maru Nihoniho

Maru is the managing director, game producer and designer at Metia Interactive, an award-winning game development studio founded in 2003.

Alistair Scarfe

Dr Alistair Scarfe grew up in agriculture where he developed a passion for using technology to improve farming. He has ten years’ experience developing agricultural robotics including building the prototype autonomous kiwifruit harvester for his PhD thesis.
